📝 Just a heads up—this is an advertorial, not a news article. I only share stuff I genuinely love.

A few months ago, my siblings and I started talking about updating the lighting in our mom’s home.
She’s in her seventies and lives alone in the house we all grew up in. There were so many little things that felt inconvenient for her—like walking down a dark hallway at night or reaching up to turn off lights she couldn’t easily get to.
We wanted to help. But we didn’t want to overwhelm her with something complicated.
You’d think finding something simple would be easy.
But most of them weren’t built with people like her in mind...
At first, my younger brother suggested we try setting up some kind of “Smart HomeKit lighting” for Mom. His place is decked out with all the fancy gear—motion-triggered lights, timers, voice control, you name it. It all sounded cool in theory.
But once we looked into it, we realized what that actually involved:
Apps to download. Wi-Fi pairing. Hub setup. Login accounts …and an electrician, too.
Even we were overwhelmed. There was just no way we were going to ask our mom to manage all that.
We all agreed: "Let’s not do this. It’s just not realistic."
What we needed was something simple. Just light—where and when she needed it.
That’s when we found the Smart+ Lighting System from GlowRight.
Everything was peel-and-stick—no tools, no mess, no electrician needed. And the Lightstrip? It plugs right into the kitchen outlet like a regular appliance.
🙌 Easy Installation
📶 No Wi-Fi & APP Needed
✅ Multiple Sensor Options: Motion, hand-wave, and door sensors for various needs.
We started with the stairs—added a mix of Halo Lux and Everywhere Lights, and paired them with a 🚶motion sensor at the bottom of the staircase. Now when she heads up at night, the lights come on like magic. 🌙 No switches, no stumbling in the dark.
Then we tackled the kitchen cabinets. We stuck a few Everywhere Lights inside and added a🚪door sensor so she can actually see what she’s reaching for. Honestly, it’s such a small thing, but it makes a huge difference.
And we popped the lightstrips and Everywhere Lights under the cabinets and paired it with a 👋 hand-wave sensor. Now she just waves her hand and the whole counter lights up. Super handy when she’s cooking or carrying something.
It’s not flashy tech—it’s just simple, thoughtful lighting that works exactly when and where you need it.
And best of all? Our mom didn’t feel like it was "too much". She actually loves it. 🥰
We’ve had the setup in her home for about four months now, and everything’s been reliable, easy to adjust, and feels like a big upgrade—without making her learn something new.
And the funny thing? She’s actually been the one recommending it to her friends. A couple of her neighbors came over and asked about the lights 😅, and now I’ve helped set up the same system in two other homes on her street. Turns out, a lot of folks just want something simple that works—and this really does. 👍
If you’re thinking about adding smarter lighting to a parent’s home, I’d definitely recommend checking this out.
🔥 They’ve got bundle discounts running right now, and you don’t need to be a tech expert to install it. Honestly, this is what smart lighting should be.
